I've got a lottttt of Deer Meat I'm tryna cook. I love Grandma Lamures seasoning & Cure but I havnt been able to get it and used what I had left. I have pounds and pounds of ground deer meat. i have butterflied steaks, and i have backstraps and trnderloins. Grills out of propane so i can use the oven, stove and i plan on sticking the backstraps in the smoker and doing them. im trying to come up with something similar to grandma lamures to use the ground meat in but make the seasoning myself. lemme know and tell me what you guys use

Usually just the old garlic, salt and pepper. Marinating it in worcestershire works wonders too-or teriyaki.

Cook slab bacon first in the pan your using to use the fat to cook it. otherwise the deer meat doesnt have enough fat to cook well and can taste rather bad or burn easy.

not much you can do with ground deer. we always get it from the processor but 2 years later we find it on the bottom of the freezer and feed it to the dog.

it's just too lean to cook pretty much.

My mom mixes ground beef with ground deer and makes tacos, chili, everything.

Now deer steaks.. Ohh buddy.. That is the bomb right there.

Get a dehydrator and make beef jerkey!! Mix the meat with jerkey seasoning and shoot it out of a jerkey gun or do it by hand. It's a good snack
