This guy I know has a 220 bayou and I was tellin him
about how it was possible on dirtbikes to do it and not
quads. But he was determined to prove me wrong. Here
is what the jump looked like. It was a washed out creek that
washed out like in the pic. Of course you can guess he didnt
make it and ended up breaking the handle bars and totaling his
plastic

Nope cuz I wasnt expecting anything like
what he tried. After he got his quad fixed
I asked him to do it again so I could film
it but he said NO.

in the picture that isnt exactly goignt o be considered a backflip.. he is barely even off the ground really .. kinda is but it isnt a real one

I have seen a guy "back flip" a quad.... it rolled back and he kicked it off continuing the "flip". Like it just did a complete endo... lol I guess that doesn't count either... What about a barrel roll I have seen a few of them :p I would like to see some pics too, atleast its a start... A quad will do it... I will do it later... after the snow is gone... JP

If somebody had the balls to try it, it prob. would be just as easy as doing it on a bike. And ya never know it may be easier!? I wanna see someone attempt it in H6. If its not attempted i wont buy it:blah

Forget the foam pit. Sounds like a pit of fire just waitin to happen. Anyone willing to pull their EX off the bottom of a lake? I will do it over water. I will even help pull it out afterwards.

i dont get you guys all worried about breaking your own quad trying a backflip. we gotta lot of talkers on this site :blah but just think about this... you get a ramp built or dirt jump built for the backfliip, you go out and try it with your friends movie camaras rollin and you get like 3/4 of the way and your quad gets totalled out. now you think theres going to be people out there that are going to let this be over seen? i guarentee you sponsers with free quads will be all over your *****, so saying you want a quad provided is just a front you guys are putting up because you honestly dont want to try it. think about it... ive been there :blah hate to say it but no one really believes what anyone else is saying untill theres proof of some sort. oh yea, dont take any of this stuff personally guys, im just talking from experience

Oh, yea, I do it everyday....not hardly. I do however find it hard to believe that people would be throwing you quads for completing a backflip. Call me crazy though. Look at the crazy dude from H-4....oh and 5. THe three wheeler guy, if anyone has the doo-dads to try it, it would probably be him. I am not trying to be a smart *** here, I am just replying to something I saw

I dont think that anyone would give up a quad or anything for someone doing a backflip. I have too many toys to afford to throw my quad into a lake just to do a flip. I would do it given the chance, but i just dont have the money to throw a few grand away on bragging rights. If anyone does do it, dont expect anything. Do it cuz you want it bad enough. Just my .02

haha i know arguing over the net is fun. well since this post isnt really going anywhere im just going to say one last final thing...
if someone in their "RIGHT" mind ever tries the flip, i can almost assure you 100% their efferts wont be gone without reward. thats all i gotta say, just think what a flip would do to this sport... there im done :devil

wired's right if somebody would do a flip it would, make this sport up to the level of dirt bikes (or close to it) and it would make to compotion riders much more, skilled and dedacated to the fmx sence

To late guys I already did it and landed it..but was by myself and it wasn't caught on film..I also sprang my pinky toe and won't be able to attempt it again....:o

Humm... yeah. For some reason my intuituion tells me... probably not. And besides all that ramp is, basically a loop de loop. Even if he did make it it's still not a true back flip. Sorry man.
Nah man it was climbing a hill actually...i didn't even plan on doin it...:eek:
I had da hamma down goin up this huge hill and was halfway up it...hit a huge tree root..next thing I know..I"m airborn,,the quads flippen backwards..I figured I'd hold on and ride it out..next thing I know..I"m back on all 4 wheels and alive...it was pretty cool.. I had my eyes closed the whole time so i was amazed I landed it..:macho

not to start the fight over but just look at caleb wyatt he was really a no body until he did the flip and now all of a sudden hes in all of the mags and winter x, also mike metzger was falling off his game until the flip came out. it would do wonders for quad freestyle because people freak on a bike flip could you imagine what they would say about a machine 150-200pounds heavier:eek2:

i dont think metz gets free bikes the manufactuers seem to over look fmx....i was readin in mx machine alot of sponsors are backing out, most atv riders are not the gen x type of people , most are trail riders or just race seriously i dunno just seems to me quad fmx isnt catching on like bikes did when they were comin out, i dont think quads will ever get the respect they deserve since were just following the bikers:ermm:
ktm and yamaha are into it somewhat...but since most fmxers ride honda i think they will be buying bikes for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time

oh yea didnt think of that, i think id rather have parts cuz stock quad wouldnt do u much good
