axle ??

thought I read somewhere that a 300ex axle will interchange
with a stock apex axle, does it?

I have one that the splines are getting worn on one side,

Not a stupid question......If you have been to an ATV MX National you know how many axles are broken on these minis.

Eric Wolfe was going to try to use the 300EX axle after Westley broke an axle at Muddy Creek running away with a moto but I never heard the end result.

Didn't have a good answer so I didn't reply initially. I always thought it would be a good idea though. If the side to side clearances are good then the carrier will need the proper bearings to make a fit. One additional concern is that you need to flip the axle due to scootermotor counter sprocket being on opposite side. I have two Raptor 250 stock axles in the garage and I'll take a look at those tomorrow but I believe they are too narrow.

I was told that it takes an apex axle only, I read on atv4play's website that he has an adapter with his swingarm to run 300ex axle.

There is a set-up out there but i don't know anything about it.
