looks like you rode the S--T out of that hill. were you not able to pull your clutch lever when your handle bars snapped? Looks like alot of fun.

I have never seen handlebars do that...

I have, they must have been bent at one time and then bent back into place causing them to have a weak spot.

I would've pissed myself if my handlebar snapped and the throttle stuck wide open. All you would have to do is pull in the clutch (and possibly blow the motor until you killed it) or just hit the kill switch or turn the key off. But I gurantee if that happened to you when you were jumping or something and your mind was on the other side of the world and that happened, you wouldn't do anythiing but hold on, or bail off.

I had my throttle stick wide open on my 250r as I neared a drop off. I barely had the sense to pull the clutch, hit the brakes, and kill it before I went off the edge, can't imagine being in the air!

This was with a twist throttle. I was done with twist throttles from then on.

after the crash happened yes i thought of pulling the clutch in but it just happened so fast no time to react 1 minute your jumping down into a ditch the next your throttle is in your face and youre going wide open was kinda sketchy... i could tell the bars had been cracked before after it snapped cuz the crack was a different color then the new break... either way no more renthal bars for me :ermm:
