Ok I'm rebuilding my 400 because I had a bent shift fork and now I'm on to putting the cam in and I can't get it to tdc. I've never had this problem before, could it be the flywheel or something not put on right???

Your turning the crank to the left, right?

Shouldnt be an issue then.

Why isnt it going to TDC? The cam sprockets wont be a good guide to use b/c it will always be slightly off.

I always just go to the t mark on the flywheel, throw the cam lobes down and put the sprocket on and done. never had an issue myself.

The marks on my cam didn't line up perfectly with the case either.
