Hey guys I got a free stabilizer, the stick style, and I'm trying to figure out how to mount the SOB. Anyone got any tips or pictures? I understand that a lot of guys mount them to the front down tubes, where I have my shock ressies mounted. I'd love to see a picture of the mount and how the stabilizer is set in the frame.

I searched for this topic and couldn't' find a good answer.

You might be able to mount that style stabilizer under neath the tank. The bolt on frame mount bracket goes on the coil crossmember iirc.

I will have a new headstay design available hopefully before X-Mas that will allow you to run your stabilizer under the tank like I did on my last build.
They will be a pretty good replica of a stocker but with the stabilizer mount, a elongated head bolt tab as well for spacer plate engines and will be available in red, black or raw. 4130 all the way.
I will keep you all posted and its the cleanest mounting location on the bike.

I mounted a similar one under the tank. I slid the mount forward on the body and mounted it to the perpendicular part of the frame. It took a fair amount of dicking around to get it to clear the tank though.

Thanks guys, lots of good info. I'll get working on mine ASAP and let yas know how it goes. Im probably going to have to do something like Portuga did. I don't have a frame mount tho. I'll have to Macgyver up a mount :D

Thought it would be worth mentioning that checking the tightness of the bolts on these before each ride is a good idea. They can bind your steering up when they come loose.
