Well i just got my frame back from the PC shop. The frame is now gusseted and coated and i think it turned out great! Ill have more pics once i assemble it. The frame is a texture black and the subframe is gloss white. The motor mounts are gloss white as well. Should match everything else perfectly.

make sure to plan the ground path,

clean all the p/c off all adjoining parts in the path, then neatly apply a good anti oxidant (no-ox-id) to all the bare metal to assure a good ground

this will do 2 things for you....1- keep your spark at its potential,
and 2-keep the voltage in a direct single path to ground,

this direct path is important to eliminate any seized pivot bolts caused electric current trying to find another path to ground through your pivot

most corrosion is caused by electrolysis, from stray electrical current..eliminate the stray electricity by forcing it to follow your dedicated path and you will eliminate the corrosion

Can you explain more? I'm not sure where needs to be ground down. The only ground I saw when taking it apart was where the coil mounted?

the motor needs to be part of the path,

the thing I usually do is use a dremel to clean the parts,

i will make my ground path the most direct path from the coil ground as possible, obviously the coil ground needs to be clean

and I make sure the top motor mount is clear off all p/c from motor to frame and one of the front mounts is also clean from motor to frame, .... this should be all you need, and this will help to eliminated any oxidation and seizing on your pivot bolt,

but to help, use a dielectric grease on your pivot to help insulate it from any electrical corrosion causing currents (electrolysis)

Okay that helps. So how do I make the top motor mount clear of powder without it being visible from the outside of the bike? Grind on the inside?

yes just remove any powder from one of the mounts at spots that actually touch the frame or motor, under neath so it cant be seen,
and clean were the bolts attach but again just enough for a good contact, but not so much it can be seen..

electricity will always find the path with least resistance, you just want to make sure its not your pivot, and by making a direct path from coil ground to frame to motor you are doing this

got it all put back together for the most part. I think it looks awesome! so much better than the rusty stock colored frame!

I like it, looks great. I'm not a fan of the different colored frame but yours look good. I would have went with all black textured frame, then white upper arms if you could and then a white swinger. That would look sexy because the white plastic would offset the black sub-frame and the white swinger offset by the black frame and Hipers. That's just me though, looks great the way it is.

Are you doing any graphics?
