Not starting trouble just want an honest opinion. What is superior, a all out yfz or all out trx250r(big bore, stroker, etc)?

So your asking if you should build an all out YFZ450 or 250R? Sorry the wording is just a little odd.

I race a heavily modded '10 450R and TRX350PV in the QuadX series. They are both very good. Honestly, the 350 is easier to maintain and just as fast but doesn't have the low end. Both are about the same I think but each handles very differently. On the TRX its faster to take the insides of the corners where it is smoother. The YFZ is not as fast on the inside but is faster railing around the outside. The YFZ feels more stout, probably because it is heavier.

I raced a fully built 250R for a few years before switching to my YFZ. My 250R was bored and stroked to 350. Every option. Racing national tracks I gained a full 10 seconds a lap switching to the YFZ. Torque is the name of the game.

With that being said.. I still liked racing the 250R better!

ive raced a few 250rs and a rider can make up for lack of low end grunt and ride fast but a yfz will out perform a 250r you gotta think theres alot of r&d since the 250r rolled out on showrooms. but i still love the chance to hop on a fully built one and go for a spin. but the answer lies in what makes you happy to put in between your legs.
