Dont need the aftermarket cooler imho. I have the CFM (without holes) one and I didnt notice much of a temp drop on my 426.

Proper jetting is key, improper jetting will cause a lean condition and more heat.

I've got one but have to try an find out who I bought it from, been a long time. Once the oil heats up I don't think it stays much cooler, maybe in colder weather....no way I ever tested it. But always thought more oil would keep the the oil from breaking down as fast, an could go longer between changes. The 400ex loses power as it heats up, so this design came up probably as a anything that can help is a help, espicially for the guys running long races.

I think Pingry makes them?

So a better investment would be a better a custom oil cooler?

or just adding an inline trans cooler to the oil cooler and mounting it to the front of the frame.

Honestly you really dont need it, but if you want to.

Could also use a fan on the cooler http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=391138
