Hd timing chain and clutch basket assembly

Got news about my bike I thought it was the crank going out cause of the knocking it was the timing chain slapping the motor so I need a new and a cluth basket assembly what kind should I get and from where oem or aftermarket?

The stock baskets worked good for me, one better would be a hinson.

Id look into replacing not only the chain but the tensioner as well. Also guides if they are worn.

A chain from a 2002 CRF450r is stronger, thicker and fits and its cheaper than a 400ex chain.

Yup. It will look like it doesnt b/c its thicker but trust me it fits.
