300ex engine build

Whats the hot set up for a 300ex engine build up? Piston, cam, exhaust, etc.... Not interested in racing just want more power for fun riding. Definitly need to keep it reliable.

A 313 kit might work well for you. I do know they make em, just not sure who does. Try hetrick, they may have one but i dont know for sure. Up ur compression a little bit and throw in a cam and call it good.:macho

my setup is as follows:
wiesco 11:1 .20 over piston
white broithers all-around cam
titanium valve springs
hardened rockers
whjite brothers full e-series

this gives plenty of power and has great potential if you were to spend the monbey to give it a good port and polish, but i dont have the money. also invest in a qaulity air filter
though, if you really want togo fast, dont make the mistake i did with doin all the engine work first, instead get a good set of works or another companys after market shocks then put some power to her and reallyget your moneys worth

If you want to beat the 400's get the Powroll 330 kit with their cam and header. Throw a 3" supertrapp universal silencer on the back and you have a winning combination. Also getting new valve seats ground isnt a bad idea while your at it and neither is a 350X intake and an air filter.
