86 lt250r project

hey brand new to this fourm. I just picked up an 86 quadracer and will be setting it up for dunes. Does anyone have any advice for this build? starting with it is a stock bore and need to have the top end rebuilt.

Hey welcome. I'm also rebuilding an 89 LT250R. Do you plan on tearing her down to the frame?

Yes I had it all torn apart the very next day. I striped it of its paint and did a bed liner paint job on it.

Thank you it's a work in progress it will be my second 2 stroke build. My first was a 05 blaster I finished and gave to a guy on Craigslist who was trying to get a quad for his son before I left to Iraq.

Post some pics of the paint job on the frame. Are you replacing all bearings? Ball joints? Camber mod? Also yfz450 shocks will fit with minimal mods to the front end.

I am replacing all the bearings I am doing the front hub bearings right now. That's good info on the front shocks. Any ideas for a rear?
