I have a kfx50 with this wiring. I'm looking for a dc cdi that I can re-wire to work on this little 50cc.

I bought this one off of ebay. Does anyone know where the wires should go? I'm stumped on this one. It says it's for a 150-250cc scooter, but I don't think it matters?

are you trying to lose the rev limiter? I would keep your little one will not know when to back off so it does not over rev and blow if your are trying to make it faster don't waste your money buy a drr or apex 50. Take it from me I have been there and done that with these little four bangers. It's way more money than speed!

I was just going to limit the rpms with the throttle screw on the handlebars. I'm getting it ready for xmas for my boys, and would just like to get 20mph out of it. I think switching the wires are going to be easy, once I figure out where they go and the cdi was only $15.

limiting the throttle will not lower the RPM's they will still climb if they hold it. Just my opinions. Suzuki made it by design to run well under 20mph that way with it's narrow wheel base it would be safe to ride.

I'm assuming DC=12vdc, PC=stator, IGN=coil, SW=switch?, E1=?, E2=? E1 and E2 could be grounds?

Change the wiring on the bike to match the KFx 90 wiring. For some reason the wire locations are different. It is easy to back the wires out of the connector with a small eye glasses screw driver. Look under airmobile1 old posts he was very helpful with those bikes. If u ever want to big bore the bike I have a 90cc head, cam, and 20mm Carb that is a direct bolt on.

Do you think this cdi is wired like the 90cc? If so, I'll just switch it's wires to fit the bike. What about it being for 150-250cc, do you think it matters as long as they are both DC? Once I get the bugs out of this thing, I may take you up on the engine parts.

I have found all the aftermarket Cdi boxes r wired the same as the KFx 90. Had two of those bikes with aftermarket Cdi boxes. Both ran great.

Thanks. That's what I needed to know. I just figured out that the first cdi I posted for the bigger bikes has a diffrent plug. The two prong part is wider. I have a regular 6 prong on the way! I'm going to wake this bike up a little! Thanks Agian.
