View Full Version : Air Scoops That Fit My 05 400ex?

I have the diamond plated ones right now and I'm sellin them tomorrow so I can get a pair of the smooth ones.

My question is what smooth ones would fit? I know cfm makes a set but on eBay, but in the description it says it fits 99-04. My diamond plates ones didn't go on good on my 05 and the hole did line up with the plastic. I had to turn them upside down so I could put bolts through the brackets. :P

Any help?

UMI also makes nice ones. Have them on my bike, but it is a 00. I am pretty sure they make them for the later ones also.

Alright thanks guys, but where can I get them at? eBay has some but I was told the cfm ones won't fit.

You can contact OMF and specify your year, make, model and they will ship them right to your door. There number is 951-354-8272.

Alright cool, thanks. Are they more than 60 bucks though? I don't really wanna spend a fortune on 2 pieces of aluminum. :p

Just get a sheet of aluminum and make your own. Thats what i did and they look just fine. It wasn't too hard at all.

Its been too many years since I got them, so I don't remember the price. I do for some reason remember that they were really pleasant to speak with over the phone and I had them in no time. They are made really well for what they are and have a more stylish look to them than the custom made ones IMO, buts that's me! No offense to anyone.

You would have to contact the seller and ask him, they look just like the OMF ones and probably cheaper. When I contacted OMF I asked them if they would fit my 05. And they did. So just contact the Ebay seller, or leave him a message. They are the sme style as the OMF, so if they say they will fit, I would save a few bucks and get them. I put stickes all over mine and they look cool as heck!

Yeah I contacted him and he said they'll fit but I asked him again and said that there were several others ones like that on eBay such as the cfm ones that look like the one that he's selling and asked him if he was 100% sure. I just don't want to order another pair like my old diamond plated ones and end up with them not fitting perfect.
