Just recently found and old Tiger three wheeler , 250cc , that a friend of mine has had packed in a shipping container since the late 80's..Looks to be all complete and original, motor is free and the guy said he put a good lube in the cylinder, looks like once the dust is blown off its in good shape...I took a couple pics but they are crappy , going over to pull it out of the crate today..Anybody have an idea of what these are worth?I know they are rare and have read the tiger rotax page but don't say how much its worth...The triple clamps on these things are huge , its like a wide glide trike...Thanks
wow these pics looked so much better on my phone...

Can't speculate on price, especially in this market, but I can guarantee it hauls *****. Get it out, clean it up, and let 'er rip.

Tiger made 80, 125, 200, 250, and 500cc, machines. The 250 is the most common followed by the 200, 500, 125, then 80. I don't know the numbers for the rest but, they only made a total of 10 of the 500's

The 250 in the picture appears to be a 1st generation 250. If it is in fact all intact and runs you have indeed found something rather rare. Most Tigers are found in partial condition.

Personaly I hated/hate the Tigers. They are way overrated, handle like crap, and are very unreliable. However, many 3 wheeler collectors are in love with them and I have seen them sell for ridiculous amounts of money. With that market the way it is price will be hard to say but, I would say you chould get at least 3,000 minimum. Probably closer to 5,000 and I would not be suprised to see 8,000 to the right buyer.

You should go to 3ww and shop it there. There are several Tiger fanatics on that site that will point you in the right direction and maybe even make you an offer on it.

Those things were fast in their day. I races with several of these in the middle 80's. Thanks for posting the picture and post some more when you get it out.

Turns over freely , no noises , gears work , havent tried to start it yet ... Im going to clean the trike really good , grease everything up , pull the carb , change all the fluids, and then
try to fire it.. The guy said it ran perfect when he put it away....

This is Mickey Dunlap owner of http://www.fourstroketech.net/ and that may be a ATC that I raced back in 1985-86. In late 85 I went to work for Tiger. The dealer in Mass flew me in for a weekend race to race one of their bikes,I brought my own tires. I'm about the only one that ran Carlisle R/A tires on a 250cc bike so there is a very good chance that that's the bike.

I just found one of my old Team Honda 200x's last year on a trip to Washington state where I grew up.I also stoped at Powroll in OR.and picked up my last 200x I raced for them when I left Tiger and went back to OR.

I am restoring my Team Honda bike back to Red like it was but I don't have any rear tires like that. I would like to offer you a new set of tires that came on your bike to put it back to the way it was.I'll pay shipping and all that and any cost of un mounting and re-mounting so there is no cost on your part.

Let me know. You can e-mail me at 4stroke@embarqmail.com or call next week between 3-6 east coast times. We are still without power here so if the phones just ring you will know to try later in the week.

TG413. Whats up man? I just saw this tonight. I realize the post is pretty old. Anyways, I'm just down the street in Great Barrington. And I'm wondering if you still have this Tiger? If so? Are you looking to sell it? I'm an ATV racer from way back. And love old race trikes! Let me know! Thanks Man!

Congratulations on that find!! A rare piece of history there.
Once you get it cleaned up and find the right fanatic or company, I'd say the sky is the limit for what you could get for it. Hold out and don't sell it too quick is my advice.

Hey Jennifer! How are you? I hope all is well with you guys! This is Sean Sermini. I'm not surprised at all that you and Daryl already have a Tiger. I hope to find one myself to restore for fun and just to have on the shelf same as you. If you ever come across one and Daryl doesn't feel like keeping it, please let me know! Thanks!
