try not to pound it too much.. I've had to wedge a long screwdriver between the carrier and the disk hub and pried it off that way. Usually a few taps with the hammer and it slides right off though, try and pull on it while you tap with a hammer, keep rotating it as you hit it (gently)

I Just now seen another thread suggest this and just tried. No Luck... PB blaster is soaking and i am being carefull hit the bacck side bolt with hammer. Tried the screw driver broke the tip off and bending the crap out of it. Was thinking of putting heat around the axle area not on it

yah if you heat up the hub it should break loose.. make sure yo load it with grease when you put it back together.

Maybe this will help?

I would spray Pblaster all over it for days and see it if helps. If not take a torch and heat up the axle/break hub then take a candle and melt the wax on the hub area. Should come right off.

No that stays between the Bearings, now pound this bearings out and put your new ones in the freezer!

Haha yah those bearings are SHOT.. Take the carrier out of the frame by removing the snap ring off the end (right side). That braket will come off and the whole carrier will slide out the left side. Only way to do it IMO

No you'll be good if you just smother it with grease when you reinstall it

Yes , put grease inside of the carrier. If you have a small sharp pick and your careful you can also pull the inner seals on the new bearings and pack more grease inside of them as well, then put the seals back into the bearings. No matter what brand bearings I have purchased they hardly have any grease in them from the factory.
