Whats the secret to getting pictures to show up?

Some do when I post the image link, some pictures do not, just the link itself? Whats the deal behind this, or am I missing something?

Had been wondering same thing myself, I put up some tinypic hosted pics and they only showed up as links. Even with image tags it wouldnt work.
