Any one want to guess what this will go for I bet at least 15,000.00 . This just proves that they are still out there hiding . This could be the holy grail of the R'S .This brings back memory's when I brought home my 89 R and 89 Honda pilot 400 from the dealer back in 89 . It's sad that they can only be new once .Just wanted to chime in .

If I was loaded I would buy it and park it in my bedroom just so I could look at it everyday

It's too bad someone is going to get scammed pretty bad. I'm betting this is the same one that was trying to be sold years back in NJ.

For those that know, it's pretty obvious about the restoration, and if it is the one from NJ then that guy skimped on a number of key things and actually had a bent frame.

The pictures tell all you need to know - powdercoated frame, pedals, and side covers. No radiator warning decal or year id and the seat area has no wear on the frame. Original paint somehow never got on them.

It's got a lot of great OEM discontinued parts though.

It looks like the same one as this one below that had pictures floating around a few years ago, (not that that means anything).
I saved the pictures. I have more pics that show no coolant, cables laying the same way, spark plug markings in the same position, big gap between seat and the tank, etc...
Not sure who this really belonged to, but some kid claimed it was his on here then later admitted to lying about it.

Restoration or not, that is the most original clean 250r I have seen in a long long time!

I dont believe that to be either new or original. Pretty close restoration though...Enough to fool a potential buyer.

A good restore but this is fraud. They are going after a big money collector type buyer that may never visit these forums. Fraud and the police should show up dressed as a ship it company on the day that the quad is to be picked up.

If that truly is a resto he should be ashamed of himself for trying to pass it off as new
