I used 06 450R spindles/brakes on my son's Walsh Hybrid.

When I asked Nate when building the hybrid, his first response was 400ex spindles. That is what is on my Walsh 250R quad I race, but with Walsh adapters for 250R calipers.

I mentioned the 400ex brakes being single piston, and how about the 450R set up, including differences between the two styles. Interesting answer he gave about the differences but was not sure in the hybrid set up.

I got the 06 style because it is a match to the 400ex set up, which the Walsh chassis was designed for way back when. Of course he was building adapter plates at the time.

I had no fitment issues or adjustment issues setting everything up.

You can use YFZ calipers on 400EX spindles. The 400EX spindles are probably cheaper and I got the YFZ calipers on my hybrid for $50 shipped with new pads.

During my research of spindles, I saw that the YFZ caliper bolt up. But since my son's Walsh hybrid was all 450R parts in back, I wanted to keep everything 450R.
