2013 Ds450x Mx...

I am new to Can Am's, but I have decided to break down and buy a new 2013 DS450X MX. Have rode and raced a YFZ and a LTR in the past.

Is there any one out there, who has a 2011 or 2012, that they raced MX with this past year, or years, that can give me some words on the quad's reliability? or, any other tips about DS450's?

I understand that they had some clutch and overheating problems on the earlier models.

My racing would consist of one or possible two events a month, and I race the 40+ and B class. Seems like if I do the proper maintenance to the quad, it will be just fine.

Agreed..DS450HQ.com has much more info.

I currently MX a 09 XMX. There are a few things you need to upgrade here and there.

BCS performance is your best bet and getting those parts for cheap. They make them all for the Can am.


What ever you do dont nose the quad into the ground on a hard crash.... they dont like to have the front end drilled hard.

Reliability is really good. Get a pipe, airfilter/inlet ring and a race tune and they run really hard in stock form.
