1985 lt 50 PLEASE HELP!

when i go to start my 1985 lt 50 i put it on prime and it just dumps fuel into the cylinder and it starts dripping out of the head, i used to be able to start it on prime usuallly first or 2nd pull, let it idle and actually ride it a little till it warmed up on prime, please help? ill by pass if its a better set up

You have a problem in the carb.
Clean well paying special attention to the float needle and seat.

how does the carb affect a line that runs directly to the cylinder head from the petcock?

According to the parts fiche, that hose you mention is a vaccum hose.
That would lead me to believe that there may be a petcock problem. They have a lil fiber thingie that can go bad and allow fuel to go into that vac hose.
