Just took a new WB e-series Pro Meg out of box and want to make sre that there is supposed to be a small indentation on the side facing the 400ex.

It is supposed to be there to clear the brake caliper when bottoming out the rear suspension.

The first version of the pipe did not have a "factory Installed" dent
and were dented after installed on the bike by the caliper. You need to look closely to see the difference. Either way it looks like it's gonna clear now.

i was real worried when i first got my silencer too.
their "factory indent" to clear the caliper/rotor looks more like someone dropped the thing instead of a "factory" indent

Yes I noticed the same thing right away and took back to the shop I got it from. The guy at the counter told me that it came that way from the maker, I did not believe him so he pulled another from the rack. To my relief it was also dented, as funny as that seems. :eek2:

yes, the dent is put there by white brothers.i called them after i opened up the box on my new e-series,also the instruction manual also states that there is a dent put there to clear brake caliper. it is the only thing i dont like about the pipe(what hacker came up with that fix to clear caliper)??:huh :huh

Is the Pro Meg a full system only?

Yes. The "Meg" in Pro Meg is an indication of the design of the headpipe as it connects to the silencer. It resembles a megaphone. The "Slip On" does just that it slips onto the stock head pipe.

lol..
we had this same question a year or so ago...

tell yuns what though...when my husband bottomed his 440, he hit his silencer on the caliper (so we think anyhow) and the dent he put on it is nowhere near the "factory WB" dent..

:huh

Now he has two lovely looking dents on his silencer...

No, wait, make that three...I put one on the end cap thingy when I rear-ended him a while back. Ooppssssss.
