cdi rpm range

Hello, I have (2) CDI boxes and i am trying to find out if they are the same rpms. One is on a DRR 90 and it is a long rectangle, the info I found says 12,000 rpm. The other is on an Apex 90 and it is a smaller square box, I can't find any "run able" numbers. Anybody happen to know what it's rpm max is? Thanks

Ones stock that's the bigger one and the other is afty and unlimited rev. You can also make the stock one uni rev buy jumpimg the grey wire.... Rpm's are based on other mods to get max rpm's out of your machine....

Thanks for the reply. So the smaller square CDI box is stock and maybe around 10,000 rpm? 2,000 rpms is a fairly good gain until I put a PVL on... right? Thank you!

No the smaller one is a aftermarket unlimited rev cdi. I run them on my boys 90 and with no pvl and slotted stator he hits about 15k rpm's.Stock is around 10 to 12k rpm's and the aftermarket gets you to about 1400 until futher work is done....

And ya that link is for the stock cdi... If you jump those 2 tabs it take's the rev limter off... I have both if you need one and can save pvl cost buy slotting the stator for timming...
