Im getting intermitant spark on my 2005 450. It just started all of a sudden, checked all the wires and nothing seems to be rubbing or shorting/grounding out. Maybe its the coil or something, not sure. Any Ideas?
thanks!!

I am betting the stator is starting to go. It is a very common problem, especially on the 04-05's. I have had 2-3 stators crap out on me. There is a ignition pulse generator I bet is starting to short out. You can try finding someone with an 04-05 and swapping the CDI box, rectifier, or coil/spark plug cap and see if that works but I am almost guaranteeing the stator is your problem. Let us know!

thanks!! cut open your oil filter, make sure there are no metal flakes..

when a bearing goes south, the metal will cling to your flywheel causing strange spark issues

does anyone offer a aftermarket stator or only stock? I know only stock was available 6 years ago when it went out the first time, i've been out of the game for about 5 years from being in the marine corps.
