400ex (possible) valve tick?

I have an 07 with a slip on, intake, jets, a cold plug, and a secondary oil cooler (no internal mods) and over the past several months a ticking from the top end has gotten slightly worse. When the motor is hot its a little more noticeable and when I rev it the ticking speeds up. I know a lot of 400exs have this issue. But i dont know if maybe the valves need adjusted? I had it done once when i broke the motor in and thats it. Anyone have this problem and think the valves just need adjusted or could it be something else?

Also they tick period so it could just be that, depends on how it goes.

Id try the valve adjustment first.

Before you re-install your valve lash cap on the right intake side, look for the top of your cam chain and gently check if its loose with a flat tip screwdriver.. You shouldnt be able to lift it, should be snug.

My chain was stretched bad, and could lift it almost off the cam gear.
