They have some great stuff. There pipe is loud and gives great bottom but not to loud like Sparks....

I have the pipe, and absolutely love it. Its the only pipe I could find with mid and high end horsepower gain. Every pipe except for hetrichs and sparks which are basically the same give you more low end. As far as I'm concerned the 400ex has enough low end.

It's a heck of a pipe. It really works best with a modded motor. You'll see his pipe on the 400ex's getting the holeshot...

The only thing im worried about is the bottom end... can i install it with out taking the oil cooler off or does that have to be done?

It is a awsome pipe and you can install it with out removing the oil tank but you will need to take your time. The pipe gives great gains all over you will be happy. I believe GTTHUNDER did a test on it installed on a 440 you will have to search the net a little to find it.

how is the bottom end? see i wanna gain mid and top without loosing any bottom like you do on the LRD exaust system

You will not loose any bottom end. I run 15-37 gearing and sometimes 16-37 gearing and the quad still launches as hard as it ever has. Besides you will not beat the price of Hetrick after you tell them you heard about them here.

Well I hate to tell you what is going to happen to your quad as I don't know the machine. But I will tell you I gained at every spot in my power band from stock and over my old E-series. So basicly if there is nothing wrong with your bike and it is jetted properly you should do nothing but gain from bottom to top.

You should call them and talk to Casey. Be sure to tell them you are a member on here and this is where you heard about there pipe. When I ordered mine we never even talked price I just told them about this place and what not and when it was all said and done I got my pipe, new filter, a main jet and the header crush rings to my door for 404:D No Lie

I just picked up my new Hetrick's pipe last week. Unfortunately I'm swapping everything over to my newly pc'd frame. So it is sitting there on the shop table lookin all mean and nasty. I'll let ya know what happens with it as soon as I get it on. I have very high hopes for it. Everyone that I have spoke with about it, that have had other pipes before their hetricks pipe, has raved about how much better it is than their other pipes. I am stoked to get it on and running soon. Plus the people are great to deal with. Rich, Michelle, and Casey are a wealth of knowledge and are down to earth people. And they don't talk down to you like another very well known motor builder did to me. Just great people to deal with. If you do decide to buy one of their pipes, do it quick. I know that there was only 3 left when I got mine. Also mention that Ray sent ya if ya would. Thanks I appreciate it. If you have any questions pm me if ya want.

but i have to add more on my 300ex the most gain was in mid and minor low with decent high so between my pipe, filter, jet kit, and vented lid my gains made me more than happy for the 300 my pipe costed me 330 but i talked to casey on the phone after shop hours while he was leaving for about an hour........ great guy cant say enough he helped me out a lot i recomend them highly
i was gonna post a pic but now the size is cut down to like half its normal allowance wtf?

Yes you can get a spark arrestor. You can use a supertrapp s/a or possibly a big gun s/a. Contact Hetrick's and ask them.

Ray oops...:o me bad, I read question wrong..I thought he askled if it came with spark arrestor..LOL... Yes,Michelle Rich and casey are very nice and they are like CBRSLIDER said, they talk to you with some respect :)
