400 ex carb issue!!?!????

My Carb has been acting up lately its making a ticking noise that sounds like its sucking in air at idle and when throttle is barely held in. Do you guys know what cud be wrong with it? It also seems have to worse throttle response and takes longer to wind out gears?

Check the boots on the carb, sounds like its sucking in air. Spray carb clean around the boot-idles up make sure its on properly.

I would also take the carb apart and clean it.

The boots are what connects to the filter and motor right?

Yea, make sure they are tight.
