lt80 chain tensioner

Anyone ever use the chain tensioner that jl atv and mid west mini has???????
Does it really work i was not going to change the gearing but i hat the chain slap

I believe you need to remove the skid plate to run a tensioner. Removing the skid plate can lead to the dreaded 'case cracking' so common to these bikes.

Personally I have never owned an LT80 with a tensioner, so I could be mistaken.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

It will.
I never thought of cutting the metal in that area to allow for the tensioner.

I never ran the skid plates.
I contributed my kids case problems to jumping. LOL :D

well i got on,, and works good ,, i still got the skid plate on everything fit but i added some washers i put it on you tube check it out if you get time thanks to all that helped
