Well I decided to go out and chop up that GT Thunder skid I ordered a LONG time ago to put on my 400. I had to chop about 8" off the front of it to get it to fit my 400, since it was made for a 450. I also cut 2 large holes in it for the oil and also drilled 5 hoiles in it to use the mounting hardware from my Maier skid. I also used that Maier skid for a template to drill the holes, it worked great. Anyway here's a few pics: (Remember these don't come with any mounting hardware or holes in them)

I think I'm gunna take it to Line X sometime and have them coat it with their bed liner so it matches and will be able to stand up against hard impacts alittle better.

Hey hows this skid plate holding up? I thinking of getting one. I like the aluminum ones but I like the price of these.

These are better than metal ones...

These wont rattle when they get loose, and these are also very slick, so it will help you glide across rough stuff.

Where as the metal ones will dent and bend... this one just absorbs the blows and keeps on going.

I have one kinda like stickman but I custom made my own.

Pretty good. I haven't rode much on this one, but I had a poly Maier skid on it before this one (basically the same thing) and it took a pounding and kept on going. It's beat to hell but it still looks fine, no holes or really deep gouges. I'd deff. recommend one of these over a metal one. Only thing that's a ***** is he doesn't provide mounting hardware, so you're gunna have to figure out something there.

Well I ordered one. Did your maier mounts work pretty good? I think I'm just gonna call'em and see if they'll sell me a mount kit.

Yea, worked perfect. All you're gunna have to do is drill the holes in the skid. It will be alittle tough guessing where to drill the holes to see where it will sit on the quad. I used my Maier skid as a template and just lined the 2 up and put my bit right in the Maier hole and driled into the GT Thunder skid.

Called maier plastic 2day and they r sending me a mount kit for free! Shouldn't be to hard to figure out where to drill holes. Might have you send me some more pics of yours if I can't figure it out. If you would be willing.

Yea, I can do that. I could take some measurements and get them to you that way too.
