I posted in the hybrid section, but I'm most curious about the comparison between the two. My 09 laeger crf weighed in at
349 lbs
weight bias was
F 48.8%
R 51.2%
L 49.8% R 50.2%
Anyone have accurate numbers from a laeger 250r?

Just curious, did you just use a scale under each tire to figure out the weight bias?

Yes it was a scale that is built for 4 wheels, everything was linked into a main computer that calculates but you could easily figure it out.

Thats funny. I was just thinking about weighing my motocross 250r. Im going to run down to walmart and get 4 bath scales and weigh mine and Ill post up the numbers when I get em :p

I had a full Laeger 250R about 8-10 years ago, I recall it weighing in at around 315 lbs. give or take. im in the process of building another, I will def. weigh her when I'm done.

Weighed mine today with four $7 dollar sunbeam bathroom scales from walmart:p

Total weight was 340 pounds.
Stock frame gusseted
50 inches wide. blah blah. its a motocross quad with all the aluminum goodies you can possibly get. all extra **** removed.
Frame height was set perfectly even 8 in front and 8 in bach with no one on the quad.
Left front was 84
Right front was 84
Left rear was 85
Right rear was 87.

I think i can get the rear even simply by adjusting the preload on the front shocks, I think one of them is looser than the other.

If change the spring tension settings you can change the front to back and side to side weight numbers

Thats cool pretty close in weight. Suspension definitely changes bias which is a good tuning tool also. I have a laeger r in the garage I'll check out soon.

the exhaust is on the right side to, that could contribute the slight weight to that side.

What does a crf motor/tranny weigh? I think an R weighs 67-68 lbs.

The crf motor with all the excess hardware is that close to 2t motor. Please God, Bombardier, or Ktm save me from this blasphemy.

good luck on that one.. I would like to see a direct inj. canam.. I'd probably be a contender. But until then drool on this..
