Need help with my 416 dying

I have a 416 big bore i got from someone in May. It has run beautifuly until today. I started it and let it idle for a few minutes and then it died and wouldn't start unless I held the throttle then it would pop and die. If I let it sit for like 20-25 mins it will start up then do it all over again. Any ideas on what it could be??

The first step is to take the carb off, then take it apart and clean it thoroughly. This eliminates the carb itself as being the culprit.

I would also make sure your intake boot on the engine is good as well as the airbox boot and the air filter.
