Cylinder scoring

Ok last race my 400 started burning a lot of oil so we tore it down and the cylinder got a score on the bottom half it's not deep at all just like scratches. Do you think I'll be fine if I bore it to a 407 thanks.

it would need measured first. a 407 isnt much and if there is any taper there plus the scoring you might bore it and it still have either one. i would have the person boring it check for out of round, taper, and the scoring.

but then again its not my engine. but for a race machine do it right the first time, not the cheaper way and do it again.
