Does anyone make a steel 35t sprocket for the 400ex? I really want to run 16-36, but my bearing carrier and chain lenght won't let me. :confused2

I'm not sure if they make steel 35s but you should try Sidewinder. You'll have to get a new chain to run 16/35 gearing. What kind of riding do you do? Why do you want that gearing that tall?

I've got 15-36 gearing now and the stock motor pulls it fine. My 440 will be ready this week, and unless I do something with the gearing, it won't be any faster in the top end. I figure it should have plenty of power to pull 16-35. Oh, I drag race alot with occ. trail riding. I'll go back to the 15T for the trails.

When I first did my 440 I ran 16/38 and it was too tall for me. But I kind of like mid range power, so I went with the 15/37. I ride mostly in the sand and the mid range power is nice for hill climbing. Do you sand drag? If so you will want lower gears so you can start in 2rd or 3rd and pull hard.
