Hey guys I havent really posted on here in a while so I just wanted to check in and post a update of what I've been up to. Dont hate on me too bad but I made the trip the dark side back in april and picked up a 06 LTR450. Funny thing is the day I brought it home my 250r lost spark :scary: So I ended up letting the old girl sit most of the summer while I sank some money into the ltr. I decided to yank the motor out of the 250r and have it rebuilt, not because it lost spark just because I knew my crank was getting old and had some minimal play when I threw on the 310 cylinder. So I took the motor out, sent the crankshaft out to Titan racing for a rebuild, got it back and had a local guy put in all new bearings and seals for the bottom end. While it was apart I found a loose ground wire that I figured was the reason it lost spark so I repaired that but when I put the motor back in the other night and kicked it over still no spark :( I'm gonna take a chance and get a new stator this week, hopefully that solves it....I cant wait to get it running again, The 450 is sweet but its no where near as fun to ride as the 250r which is a hell of alot lighter and easier to throw around. It is nice having both though.... So anyway thats what Ive been up to....heres a few pics to enjoy

Glad to have you back. I've ventured away to the dark side also from time to time but I always find myself back in here. This time I've gone hog wild though! Lol

Thanks Dustin I was actually just looking at your new laeger thread. That is quite the find you got there, looks like you got a garage full of gems now.... As much as I like the 450 if I ever had to sell one of my quads it would be the one to go. I didnt really realize how much easier the 250r was to work on untill I had to take the plastics off the 450 for the first time what a pita! All I kept thinking was man I can do this in 1 minute on the 250r lol

lol thats exactly what I was thinking. It was so ironic how as soon as I pulled another quad in the garage it lost spark. Oh well ended up finding a brand new stator on ebay for $95 shipped. Hopefully that solves it I hate chasing electrical demons

Glad I saw this thread, I've been looking to get another 250r but have been having a hell of a time finding the perfect match, it's like dating all over again! This morning I figured I'd start checking out LTR's and YFZ's...

Thanks for reminding me to stick it out!!

R looks great by the way!
