Is 110 octane to much for a stock 450?

you can run it, it won't give you any problems, but you won't be seeing any gains from it.

high octane does not equal power, unless you have the compression ratio to go with it. in fact i've seen dyno's where 93 on a stock piston put out more power than 110 did.

Higher octane fuels simply resist detonation as a result of higher compression ratios and hot spots in the head as mentioned above.

Contrary to what many think.....this is 100% true. Its nice to run higher octane to prevent predetination, but for a stock motor you probly dont have anything to worry about running 93 or so. Alot of guys run the 110 mixed 50/50 with pump gas and like it. I get Sunoco brand 110 around here and run it straight in my heavily modded motor and love it.....plus it only 7 or 8 bucks a gallon.

I have run it with av-gas and the 50/50 mix and didnt notice a difference. I only run it straight cuss I dont feel like mixing it,lol
