So my friend and I went out riding today and he had a pretty good wreck on his brand new 2012 450r. Originally looking at it i didn't think it was too bad. Now that we have it in the garage i took a closer look at it and i'm pretty sure he bent the subfame. So my question is where to order a new subframe from and what subframes are interchangeable from early years with a 2012. Thanks for any help

Houser makes a nice lowered one. Looking for oem i buy most of my stuff from motosport.com. Fast shipping and good prices.

Make sure you buy one for an "ER" when you buy an 06+ one. If you buy one for an "R" it wont have a battery tray

If you want a lowered JB subframe, I have a brand new one that has never been mounted up for sale. Feel free to PM me if you are interested.

I might have a stock subframe, too.

Both would be for kickers.

Thanks for the input guys. One more question. Upon closer inspection i see he also bent his axle. I'm trying to help him put his bike back together without it costing him an arm and a leg. I own a 250r and have a stock axle laying around. Do any of you know if my 250r axle would work for his bike. If so can i use all the other parts that go with his axle (sprocket hub, rotor hub, axle nut, hubs)? Or would i need to use 250r parts? Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know but easy enough the find out since he has to rip his out and yours is already out. See if everything lines up.

No, a 250r axle will not fit
