I am building a 426 ex with all the goodies and I was wondering if a stroker crank would be much better then a standard crank? I was also wondering if it would go in just like a standard crank (like do you have to change anything else if you put in a stroker crank?)

Awesome power gain over just a bored engine. The crank will go in with no problems, but you do have to use a stroker piston with a hotrods crank. You can get your crank stroked by powroll and use the same piston you have, but the skirt will have to me machined to clear the crank. It also works better with a stage 3 cam.

Thanks. How much horse power gain do you think it would have compared to the 426 11/1 with a hot rods standard crank?

Im not sure. Mine dynoed around 46hp so it would be in that area depending on head work, cam, and other things like that. I think a 426 would be in the 35-40 hp range depending on whats done.

yeah i was really happy with it. I lost my dyno sheet or I would post it. Made a really nice flat power curve from 3-4000 rpm to redline
