86 R head light

does the head light mount to the 88-89 hoods?
and will the 86 headlight work?

the 86-87 headlights were mounted onto the handlebars. The light itself was on a metal mounting braket (connecting to the handlebars) the 88-89 250rs headlight asm. were in the hood itself. Im 99% sure the headlight wont fit into the hood.

I installed the 86 light in my 89 hood, i had to make a small bracket but it worked great. It took about 5 minutes to make one from aluminum
