View Full Version : Which pipe, which jets?

I am going to be doing the basics.... pipe, jets, etc... in your all opinion which pipe should I go with and what size jets? I live in West Virginia which is about 1,500 feet above sea level if that makes a difference on the jets... any and all responces will be appreciated....

oh yeah and by the way... my 400 is all stock as of right now except I have a Uni Air Filter..

the instructions will give you a jetsize #... id buy that jet, a jet smaller and a jet bgger... try them all and see what runs the best... its a trial and error process

WHITE BROTHERS love mine, tuneable,race proven, sounds great,
yea when you buy a pipe it should come with jetting info, 155-158-160,should do ya....

White Bros E Series,LRD.Sparks,CT,pro circuit,yoshimuira,any of those are great, DO NOT GET A DG OR COBRA

Deffinatly go with the E-SERIES!! thats what i use and i doubt i'll every use anything diffrent, its a great all around pipe.....

By the way i live in maryland, right beside ya, and i wouldnt recomend getting your quad jetted! i did and its a hassle always adjusting everything to the temp. and all........ the only time u should get your bike jetted is when your seasonal temp.'s are all close to each other, unlike ours out here in the mid atlantic region, were it changes 80-90 degrees throughout the seasons it is hard to keep the bikes running good unless u get em' adjusted for eevery season....... well thats just a little sumthign to think bout......

def go w/ a white bros. e-series pipe. I personally think that the e-series pro meg is the best pipe out there for a 400ex.

Ive got a Trinity my buddy has a T-4. My buddy got more bang for his $ and got it faster.

why not get a dg or cobra? is it becuase they are too loud?

no its because white brothers and big gun are the best pipes you can get for your quad.... they deliver the most power out of any pipe ive tried out.... go with either of those!!!
