Playing around in photoshop making things red. Right now the only thing that is red behind the front tires, is the chain guard. the nets, motor mounts, timing plugs, and subframe were rendered red to see what it looks like but I dno't know if it's too much red or if i need more ( swingarm and chain and maybe red rings on some hipers ) anyway here's a pic, let me know what your opinions are.

Lol yeah it's on the list. I need all 4 for the other 426, and then all 4 for the recon too. ;/

Also want a Houser stem since mine's bent and a new set of silver renthals with red grips and a red/white pad. Then maybe some ASV levers at some point to top it off.

We have Recon that we put a set of GBC Dirt Devils on. Great tire for inexpensive price. As much for Red I proud to ride Red. Growing up Honda (red),Yamaha(blue),Suzuki(yellow) and Kawasaki(green). I think the red you had done with photoshop looked good.

I think some red on the blue plastic would set it off, like some red flames or some sort of primarly red graphics.

I think it looks great!

Well then it's settled, those pieces will be painted red. The timing plugs are fairly cheap so I'll probably just buy those since it'll probably hold up better than paint in the end.

Dreading taking the nerfs off in the rear to get the sub-frame off though. Those things were a real b!tch to get on. Hoping since they've been there for a while, that maybe it'll hold the shape and bolt right back up. I doubt it though, it's never really that simple. But it'd be worth it in the end.

Thanks for your input guys!

Yeah? I looked at the GBC Gators for it but I think they were too big for what I needed. I'll check into the Dirt Devils. Thanks! As for being a Honda fan, I hear you buddy! That's why I have a garage full of em. We tell my step daughter's boyfriend that when he leaves his Raptor 660 here, that he's likely to find it with a Honda sticker on it.

I think blue rings would look good, Blue on top, red (frame) in middle, and then blue on the beadlocks rings to set it off.

get red side panels

For the beadlock rings, blue would probably be nice. I was thinking red but blue is definitely now on my mind.

As far as the red side panels go, I'd rather keep the plastic a single color. Keeps it simple and clean looking I think. Was thinking maybe red Wiseco stickers for the sides would be a nice touch.

Took the sub-frame off today. Here's how she sits now until I can get more primer.

Put this together today, thought I'd share. Top left is the day I got it, bottom left is how it sits in the garage as of right now.

It's already got a bit of performance mods done to it. Shocks are in the plans, don't you worry. Just have to make enough money to talk my wife into letting me spend a nice chunk of it on them. Also want a new rear end ( swingarm, axle, etc ). One step at a time.

Redneck, The blue looks good! Your paint skills are enough to help visualize it so it works :)

What thing did u use on photoshop to change the colors? I want to do it to my pic of my quad.

Used the pen tool to trace the areas that I wanted to be red, created a selection from those paths and filled on a new layer with my chosen color. Then change the layer mode to 'color' and you should be good. Maybe adjust the opacity if need be.

Got the subframe all painted up and put back on. She just clicks now when you press the start button but I need a new battery. Hoping that's it and I have everything hooked up correctly, lol. We'll find out after I get a new battery in there!
