400ex clutch pin lifter

Has anybody had problems with 400ex clutch pin lifters breaking? I habe broke 2 pins in less than a month. I didnt have a problem until I put a barnett basket in it and a dirtdigger clutch kit.

Did you soak your fibers in oil overnite before you installed the clutch? The only time I broke one is when I did not soak my fibers. It also broke the fingers off of the inner hub, snapped 3 clutch spring bolts and bent a couple of the springs. I am never going to make that mistake again!

Yea I soaked the plates. I think the first one broke because of wear and age. I thought I broke it again but this evening I took it apart, nothing wrong, put it back together, heard a pop like it did before finaly figured out my clutch cable had slack letting the scoop in the clutch cover slip off the pin. So its all good now. I jumped to conclussion before I took it apart.
