well i have all my plastic off, gas tank off, and i have my valve covers off and all of the bolts off of the top of my motor but my head isnt coming off what should i do ???...

first, MAKE SURE all the bolts are off, when youre 1000% positive they are, the gaskets are the only thing that will be making it "stick" together.........youll need to super dupr gently pry it apart, using a screw driver should be ok, also good to have a rubber mallet around, Be careful!

umm, will i break something if i dont take my time ??...lol obviuos , do you or anyone elese have pictures part by part to rebuilding ???thanks, Trent

There is a very good step by step guide on a 300EX rebuild in the November 2001 issue of Dirtwheels, pictures, instructions, tips, everything, if you dont have this issue you are able to get Back issues from Dirtwheels, I believe you can buy them online, and it should be well worth it, if you need more info just ask

isnt there like 13 long bolts.

And then like 2 (or 4?) cap nuts inside near the cam?

You got all them off?

Theres probably 1 or 2 bolts your didnt see.

i have a;; 4 of the bolts off that hold the head on and it seems its still on there oh yea i get the 2 one the kick starter side and its still not coming off, there were 2 near the spark plug and there were to near the cam and 2 at the bottom right side and i have all of them off but it seems its still on there....thanks, Trent

bump have cam off too...still on there im yanking and its not coming off.....lol:rolleyes:
