odd plastic

just wondering if there were any companys still making odd colored plastic for 05 400's maybe green or blue or?

call them and see what they can do for you.

'Ride Red' gets repatative when most people have a Honda.. I almost went purple/green/orange when I rebuilt my 450 but stayed mostly black accented with yellow.

When I rebuild it again it will be something never seen before. Red and black gets old..

OP - You can get lots of colors from maier, from blue, to orange, to pink.

thanks chronicsmoke and 2001400exrida. unlike the other guys in this post i can do my own thing and not try to be like everyone else. by the way im yellow now and i like it, just thought about changing it up if i found something i liked enough

I've got a set of blue Maier's on mine now and I love them. I hear the newer one's fit a little better too. They're a little beat up but they're old and it's time for new ones soon I've been pondering silver but the more I look at my red/blue setup, the more I really like it. I may go for the blue FullBore's next instead of Maier though.

and fwiw, blue, pink, yellow, or whatever... if it's a Honda, you're still "riding red". At least that's how I see it anyway.

lol at "do your own thing" your buying parts and bolting them on. that can be any ones "thing". you want to be unique try building something from scratch. not ordering it. :rolleyes:

the hole debate isn't about what any one wants you to get. its about product and brand loyalty, Honda is known for red, yamadog is known for blue and im not even going to take the time to spell out whats green. the fact is the Honda wings is a sign of Honda just as much as red is.

Maier makes about 30 colors or so. I have the bkack carbon fibers on my 400. They look good and the plastic itself is well made. Downside: i dont know how they make it look like carbon fiber...but DO NOT spill gas on it anywhere. It will fade anywhere it streaked. They suggested to use 20 mil vinyl sheeting in heavy wear areas which i didnt do. If i had to do it over it would have covered the tank top and sides.

I actually really like silver. My TRX250r is all black with blue frame and blue tank. As long as its a Honda thats all that counts!!! And i say that too because thats all ive ever had. Wouldnt be against another brand just my Hondas have been great to me. I want a Honda collection someday.

How about, you keep your quad red, so you can be a "loyal" customer, and while your at it keep your mouth shut too. Because obviously riding Hondas fourwheeler isnt enough.

Do whatever color you want man. I like stock, because it fits soo much better than aftermarket. And my color scheme is red blue white and black.

i had the white carbon fiber plastic on my quad when i got it, but sold them.

Hey, there is also this new "dipped" style graphics kit you can have done to your plastic, and it puts designs and such all over your plastic. Its like chemically put on or something.

I saw a YFZ with white plastic and had thousands of 100 dollar bills all over it and he said its some new graphics kit. Its weird, idk i havent looked into it yet though.

I wrecked my bike last weekend and busted up the front plastic pretty bad. and the other day I went to my local shop and he gave me a good deal on some yellow full front fenders.....so now mine is yellow and red haha :D i'll post some pics later.

he had red but I was wanting to try something a little different. and I really like how it looks, it deffinatlly stands out.

looks good with the missmached plastic. what size tires you running?

fronts are 23inch gbc xrex

rears are 20inch xrex's too but they only measure 19 inches tall. im wanting to try some different tires that are either a true 20 or 21 inchs tall.

thats what i run but in razr 2's. 20s rear and 23s up front. a little extra ground clearance that way.
