I am wondering what other bikes that are different sizes get time wise in 300ft dirt drags. I want to build something else next year for the drag season. This year I am running a stock bore stock stroke 400ex that gets 5.9seconds on average perfect conditions 5.7seconds. I would just like to see what other people get with different mods to theres. 406, 416, 426, 440, 440 stroker, 450 stroker, 460 stroker ect. Would like to see times on different size bikes.

My 440 ran a consistant 5.6 on a actual 300ft track.

All I have is a 11:1 440 with a stage 2 cam and a 450r carb with kibblewhite +size valves.

That was a beating every bolt on banshee, beating every 450r that wasnt high comp or big bored.

keep in mind most 300ft tracks are actually 270-280ft, my times are actual 300ft, every .1 sec is almost a whole quad length.

I've never done the drags yet so this is a new thought for me.
How can there be any consistency? The OP's question is apples and oranges if there's differences of 30 ft.!

Yea I run true 300ft track. Is that a 89mm big bore 440 or the stroker?

Once youve raced a few races you can tell the difference by the times someone has posted vs the mods they have what size the track actually is.

I believe his question is more for a baseline to go off of.

If its a actual race track with sponsered races it most likely is actual 300ft, random places that happen to have a dirt drag strip are generally less then 300ft and dont have as much of a shut off area.

Yea I get about the most out of a stock bore I can getting 5.9sec. If your 440 big bore does 5.6sec. Do you think a 87mm bore, 74mn stroke 440stroker, stage 3 cam, drag port, larger valves, valve job, hd head studs, full exhaust, fcr 39mm carb, k&n velocity intake, no airbox, barnett clutch would get around 5.4 or better?

Im not sure, it might, but if it doesnt you'll feel like you wasted your money.

The fcr isnt the carb you want for drag racing, thats a mx carb. You want mass airflow at wide open throttle, you'll benefit more from a 42mm 450r carb or a bigger lectron carb.

If your dynatek is the one with rpm activators, you might benefit more from a nitrous kit, you can buy that for $400.

Yea exactly. Yea it is a programmable with 2 rpm activators, but I would have to buy another part for it to set it up.
