My 450 is boging down when I hit the higher rpm of a gear. It cranks up and idols great it's just whenever I hit high rpm. . The motor is stock except I have a full fmf exhaust and a big gun cdi box. I have a 170 main jet in a 45 needle jet. What would be the best setup
I have no clue on jennings any help would be great

Contact JD jetting, they have the set up your looking for with full instructions so easy a kid can do it. They supply you with a few main jets and a new needle that you can easily tune to your riding elevation and or weather conditions, humidity ect...You can also get the fuel screw for about 20 bucks so you can adjust it with ease. The whole set up is right at 100 dollars I believe.

I just tuned my bike today with this kit and its pretty close to perfect.

-2 turns out on the fuel screw from seated
-180 main jet
-52 pilot jet
-needle on the third clip

I have a full Dasa exhaust and filter kit with no airbox lid and I ride between 3 and 5 thousand feet most of the time. If you ride sea level to 3000 feet go with a 185 main jet and if you ride above 6k feet use a 175 main, this may help.

Is your airbox lid on or off?

Are you using geuine Keihin jets or Dynojet jets?

now i have a bog with i get on the throttle hard, i change from a 70 leak jet to a 56 and didnt help. if i stay on the throttle a little i can then hammer on the throttle and it wont bog.

2.5 turns out on the fuel screw is almost too much that is about as far as you want to go. Try a bigger pilot 45 sounds too lean?

should i put the 48 pilot jet back in it

On my 04, 48 is stock pilot size (too lean), not sure on the 07. I have 180 main, 2 turns out on the fuel screw, 52 pilot, stock leak. I would try atleast a 50 pilot, what elevation do you ride? Airbox lid on or off? All these factors have to be taken into account.

I live on the coast with the air box off.

Try a bigger pilot 50 or 52, switch to a 185 main because I believe you are below 3000 foot elevation.
-185 main
-50 or 52 pilot
your fuel screw should be pretty adjustable between 1 and 2.5 turns out max.

I'll try that.

180's is most likely too rich for an 07 with those mods.

Youd probably do good with HRC jetting.
162 main, 45 pilot

u say u get a bog when u go hard on the throttle...
Is that when u snap the throttle off idle/low rpm?
Or when ur wide open throttle?

Depending when it bogs, will determine which jet is affecting it.

Its when I'm at idle

If I go smaller on the main it will not let me rev out. It bogs in the higher rpms runs like crap. With the 180 it runs great just a little bog from idle to wide open
