Just wondering if anybody out there has had any success with using a rear shock from another quad, like a YFZ 450 , TRX 450 or something else that could be sent in to have reworked.
Thanks

What I used is a rear shock from a Polaris Peditor 500. Get the one that has a threaded cap. Look for one on ebay. Call or text Pete Bengal 517 927 0513. He'll shorten it and it is not necessary to resping it.

Thanks for the info!!
Was this on a MX or XC quad? That would be great if we could get one setup without needing a new spring!! Did you use the shock with the reservoir? Theres 3 different types of Predator 500 rear shocks on eBay, 1 with no ressy 1 with a remote mount ressy, and 1 with ressy mounted to the shock. And some have dual rate spring setups. lol

My son uses the quad for both Mx practice and he's raced in several GNCC's, with this setup.
Find a shock with the remote ressie, and I use the duel rate spring. You will need a longer hose for the ressie.
