Has anyone tried using the rear link without revalving the shock yet? I know I should do both but time and money won't allow it right now. I'm getting tired of being almost thrown over the bars at every bump. I'm about 155 in gear, and I have put a lighter rear spring on to try and help with this. It helped a little but could use a little more to get through the end of the race season. Thanks

For your weight, just some valving changes might work ok.

Thats an option but the lower ride height would be a huge benefit as well with the linkage. I think thats what I have most of my suspension issues with. Even with the lighter spring in the back I'm still at about a 9 inch ride height. I have 450r front shocks with GT Thunder spring kit on them but I had to put so much preload in the springs to set my ride height that the fronts still pretty stiff.

Run zero preload on the fronts, they are stiff even for me at 200lbs.

Another member on here weighs 150lbs or less and he said he just revalved the rear and was fine.

With the GTT link it changes the whole rear, you actually need a heavier rear spring.

I read somewhere that for my weight I could run the stock spring with the GT link. I tried running less preload on the front springs, but the back of the quad sits way higher than the front then. I'm happy with the ride of the fronts, I would like the quad to sit a bit lower. Most guys are running around 7 inches for xc, I'm a hair over 9 right now with all of the preload taken out of the rear spring. I do run 22 inch rear tires so I don't expect to get down to 7 inches, but I would like to see it a bit lower than it is now

No matter what, unless you redo the fronts they will always be way to stiff.

Dont try and emulate what the other guys are doing, set the quad up for you-not them.

I'm happy with the fronts, no complaints at all since I added the spring kit. All my problems now are in the rear suspension. I just feel like I'm going to go over the bars at times. The bucking over bumps with my light weight *** on the machine is terrible. I only worry about the ride height because the machine does feel a bit tippy at real high speeds, usually not an issue where I race though.

Get a GT Thunder XC link which is designed for 20" and 22" tires, then re-valve the rear shock and it will be perfect. I almost bet you could get the 7" or so of ride height out of it with the correct valving. The link and re-vavling will lower the ride height and make the front sit alittle higher than the rear, which is what you want.

You can give it a shot with an XC link. It'll be soft without valving changes, but it might get you by. You can probably get by with the stock spring and your 22 inch tires. It will sag more with your weight, but the taller tires will keep your ride height reasonable. You may notice some bottoming if you hit a large obstacle at speed when your wheels are on the ground (not landing a jump), but it shouldn't be jarring. It would really help to get a revalve with the link.

Thanks for the input guys, I might just go ahead and try the xc link. It can't make it any worse at this point. If its to soft I can add a little preload to the spring or dial in a little more compression. I will post back with the results if I decide to get it. Thanks

Great price... Especially for both link and Shock. If i didnt have to buy all kinds of parts, i would deff buy that.
