Choke/enrichment valve on 450r carb

How does everyone have their choke set up on their carb?I saw someone had a stiff piece of wire ran down the side to push up on the valve itself,and thats what ive done for now,but just wondering if there were some better ideas.thanks

Yep, that's what I had too. I wrapped a piece of baling wire around the post and ran it to the back of the carb. so I could use it to pry the choke up. I took it off though since I installed a 55 pilot and it starts right up with no throttle pump at all in any temp.

I got a 50 pilot in mine, 3 pumps of the throttle and it kicks right over with no choke.
