FCR Choke Question

The choke on my '06 FCR carb. doesn't stick out when I pull on it, I have to hold it out while kicking over my R which is a pain sometimes. This isn't normal is it? I remember my friends '06 Rs choke would stick out when you pulled it out. Do I need to replace the choke assembly or is something else wrong? I took the choke assembly out the other day and nothing seemed wrong with it.

Pull it a little further and it should "click"... I did it too.

I tried pulling on it as hard as I could and it clicks, but doesn't stay. And after it clicks it doesn't go any further out. I think it's worn out or something.

They wear out. I think its a plastic piece that holds it out. Look at a parts diagram

it just screws in and a new assembly will fix the problem

Just wanted to update this thread real quick. I bought a new choke assemby ($40 :eek: )and it did fix the problem. Works perfect now, very handy to have it stay stuck out instead of having to hold it.
