You're prolly hearing about everyone using Shell Rotella T 15-40w oil. It's mostly used for diesels but it can also be used in just about any other kind of internal combustion engine. Works great and is cheap, can't really beat that.

I've used nothing but GN4 or Yamalube in any of my quads. Literally nothing else. I know that its expensive and theres probably cheaper things but I dont wanna waste time experimenting and possibly have one go wrong and detinate the engine so I play it safe.

It isn't that much more expencive and is made for the wet clutch.

Keep in mind that Rotella T 15w40 is JASO MA compatible. There have been millions upon millions of motorcycle and ATV miles put on Rotella T 15w40.

Check out the Motorcycle and ATV sections on Bob Is The Oil Guy.com for hard data.

Rotella is cheap and effective. No need to pay the dealer $6+ for a quart of oil when $2.50 oil works better.

I've used nothing but Honda HP4 in my 400ex since I've gotten it. But, I would be interested in trying that oil previously mentioned as I'm sure it's tried and true.
